The Fayette County Building Department is the jurisdictional authority for commercial construction within Fayette County, Ohio, and residential construction located outside the City of Washington Court House, Ohio. Permits are issued for new construction, additions, and alterations to existing buildings, signs, solar panel installations, demolition, and other work being completed. Washington Court House Building & Zoning Department
The Building and Zoning Department is responsible for enforcing the Building and Zoning Codes of the City of Washington Court House. The Department reviews building plans and issues permits for all residential construction within the City of Washington Court House. The Department also issues zoning permits for all non-residential development within the city corporation limits. The Building and Zoning division regulates land use through its zoning functions.
